Local Treasure Deanna Hardy-Joseph

Accept and be Educated. I know it's hard for many and the death of my child has been crucial to me, but this right here is definitely necessary dialogue for all. You remember my son Andrew Joseph, III my 14 year old son who was captured and later killed, when his first encounter with Hillsborough County Sheriff Deputies in Tampa, FL was his last encounter well reality has demonstrated that his black life didn't matter, his safety didn't matter, his loving parents awaiting him to return home didn't matter, a phone call to his parents didn't matter. His lost of life and stolen future didn't matter. He wasn't worthy of protection, safety or a valid homicide investigation where the Florida Highway Patrol Corporal wouldn't develop selective amnesia which entailed forgeting the policies and procedure of a homicide investigation. You see this corrupt system doesn't work for Black victims or there survivors. however, it seems to be working well for the most privileged. here

MEDICAL MARIJUANA AMENDMENT POLLING NEAR 80% IN RECENT SURVEY

In a survey conducted by Anzalone Liszt Research on behalf of United for Care, likely Florida voters favor Amendment 2 - "Use of Marijuana for Debilitating Medical Conditions" - by a margin of 77%-20%. Anzalone conducted a similar survey for United for Care in June, 2014 in which the previous version of Amendment 2 received 69% support. The medical marijuana amendment ultimately received 58% in the last election, just shy of the 60% that Florida law requires for passage.

Kevin Akins, of Anzalone Liszt Grove, said of the recent polling, “Voter support for medical marijuana in Florida is stronger than ever. A broad and diverse coalition of voters across age, racial, and gender lines support Amendment 2 by a winning margin."

Indeed, the survey showed only 3% undecided. Other recent polls have shown similarly small levels of undecided voters on this issue.

United for Care campaign manager, Ben Pollara, said, "I'm obviously pleased at these levels of support, but I'm also not surprised. The notion of allowing medical decisions to be made by doctors and patients, not politicians, is simply not controversial. Floridians are compassionate and they know that marijuana can help alleviate suffering.”

“The 2016 ballot language is also stronger and addressed a number of concerns that some voters expressed previously. It was approved unanimously by the supreme court, and we’re seeing a broader coalition supportive of passage than before,” said Pollara.

Respondents to United for Care's poll were read the complete ballot title and summary for amendment 2 - "Use of Marijuana for Debilitating Medical Conditions" - that will appear on Florida's 2016 general election ballot, then asked if they would vote "yes" or "no" on the amendment. The poll was conducted July 17-21 and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1%. The poll included bilingual dialing, and 46% of the poll was among cell phone completes, while 39% of the poll was among cell phone-only households.

Litbrit Will Not Fall In Line

They chose their nominee over a year ago, probably long before that. They were never going to let him win. But Bernie Sanders made an enormous, important, life-changing difference in our politics, at both the national level and the personal one--he moved me to become an American citizen; he moved my husband and sons to become Democrats. We will be leaving the party after the August primary in Florida, as we've committed to vote for Alan Grayson, and we will. At this point, we are leaning toward voting for Jill Stein in November. It is not about purity. It's about integrity. Robert and I agree that we can't in good conscience raise our sons to act and believe and behave in certain ways, and then turn around and support a candidate and a party whose actions reflect an ethos in direct conflict with same.
Watching Bernie walk out with his people a few minutes ago, after moving to suspend the rules and hand over all his delegates, my heart broke all over again (it broke good and hard the first time, when I watched his glum, gun-to-the-head "endorsement" two weeks ago, and again when I learned recently that he may have been threatened with the loss of important Senate committee standings if he did not endorse before the DNC this week). It broke not just for Bernie and Jane, but for my family and me, and for you. Even you who are enthusiastically supporting Mrs. Clinton. Because surely, having seen even a fraction of the evidence showing media and DNC collusion, of stacking the deck for a preferred candidate against the other three--in direct conflict with the party's by-laws--you cannot be happy with the way it went down. Yes: I'm sorry for you, too--sorry that your candidate won this way, just as I'm sorry about her Iraq vote, the harm her work at State brought down on dear little Honduras and broken, drone-attacked Yemen, and so much more that I've tried to talk about with you on my tiny little social media platform, even as many of you attacked me for being a "purist" and others (now long gone) accused me of being stupid, naïve, and even a right-wing operative. here

Jill Stein for President 2016

A few worlds from our leader:
"What did party officials think would happen this election? Are they so clueless about the sentiment that's percolating throughout the country? Did they think there would be no repercussions for rigging the debates? For not devising a better primary system?
For telling Bernie supporters
to shut up and fall in line?
There is an anger in the electorate that can't be swept under the rug. This is not about one election. This is about everything that's been happening in our country since the 1970s. Until the party figures out how to address it,
we are screwed." Susan Smith

For all you Dems who had your head up your ass and voted for Clinton or did not vote at all. Get ready for President Trump!
