New Rays Stadium In Ybor City?
Ken Hagan sald that somewhere with easy downtown access like Channelside or Ybor City would be prime candidates for the new ball park.
No Baseball fans here, but we think that is a great idea. He does not mention who would pay for it. more

"I strongly support a clean environment, but the Paris Climate Agreement was poorly negotiated by former President Obama, and it simply punishes hard working Floridians with higher energy costs while doing very little, if anything, to stop China and the world's other top polluters. The United States is already a clean energy leader, and we will continue to reduce our emissions. With our national debt hovering around $20 trillion, we do not need and cannot afford to be paying for other countries' energy needs." Dennis Ross

The Stogie Banned By "Friends Of The Hillsborough River"
----------
"Okay admins...two posts now attacking my good friend Bob Buckhorn. Garbage publication. No comments connecting to the river. No mention of all the good things he's done in his career. No mention of all his civic and community work, like when he and I brought Big Brothers/Sisters to Tampa many years ago. So what's the deal; this garbage is okay here or what?" Bill Lougheed
----------
"We have already asked Julio Rodriguez to take down this art that we all find inappropriate, and are eliminating his privileges to post on this page. So no, however well intentioned it may be that type of post is not appropriate for this page and his choice of art is not appropriate in any location."

Florida's Sugar Racket
The sugar program, known to its many critics as the “sugar racket,” is a tangle of price supports, which increase the cost of sugar in the U.S., and tariffs and quotas on imported sugar, which keeps cheaper sugar from reaching our market.
----------
“There’s probably no better example in U.S. history of a case of both legal plunder and crony capitalism that has been tolerated for so many years, and that has picked more money from the pockets of Americans,” than the sugar program, says American Enterprise Institute economist Mark J. Perry
----------
But it’s a great deal for the three Florida companies that produce nearly half of the country’s sugar supply: U.S. Sugar, the Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida, and the Fanjul Corp., which has helped fund Sen. Marco Rubio’s political career.
----------
Tthis program is causing environmental wreckage in Florida that their tax dollars will have to pay for.

" This installation by Veterans for Peace on 8th Avenue in (Gainesville) extends further back than my camera can capture. Each tombstone has a name. Drive by today. It shows you just how many people our government has pointlessly, senselessly sent to die in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2006. It's chilling."
